UK-based London College of Fashion graduate and former high fashion model Danish Wakeel showed a collection called Aqua-Dandy’ for IFW A/W 2012, a capsule of elegant, distinguished and luxuriously-cut creations for men.
The designer’s colour palette ranged from sky blue through to shades of grey and black and white. In the Aqua-Dandy collection Wakeel created a highly stylized man who is both sexy and self-aware with wide shoulders and a narrow wasp-waist. Wakeel’s mix of the Avant Garde, poetry, provocation and high quality tailoring elicited strong reactions from the Islamabad Fashion Week 2nd Edition audience as did his previous London Fashion Week menswear collections inspired by the concepts of Dandyism, death and draping respectively.

Islamabad Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2012 was organized by Excellent Event & Entertainment (Triple-E) in association with the International Pakistan Fashion Council (IPFC); World Fashion Organization (WFO) and Europa Regina . The Creative Consultant for the event is veteran hair & make-up stylist Tariq Amin and the choreographer is veteran,Pomme Gauhar.

Hair and make-up for male and female moels will be canvassed and styled by Islamabad-based stylist Jugnu of Jugnu’s Salon.
