The final day of the PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week opened with the collaborative womenwearcollection of Sadaf Malaterre and Anjum Alix Noon entitled “The Blackbird One”.
Taking inspiration from life, nature and colour, The Blackbird One Collection was a fine blend of silks, art and structured cuts. The collaboration brought forward a unique synergy between art, fabric and design as epitomized by designer Sadaf Malaterre and artist Anjum Alix Noon.

Indeed the design philosophy focused on a continuous tribute to the celebration of life and aimed to put forward something new and innovative. The Blackbird One was a collaboration of fashion and art where virtual means of communication have been the catalyst for an incredible synergy between the two and together they had mashed art, design and aesthetics and had created both: a fashion collection and an art exhibition on a fashion ramp. The collection reflected the respect the two artists have for each other’s work and plays on earthy colours and variation of cuts.

The PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week is being produced, choreographed and directed by HSY and his team with Maheen Kardar Ali and Zara Shahjahan for front stage management. Mohsin Ali and Akif Mahmood managed the exhibition area, Fahad Hussayn and Ali Xeeshan are working alongside the style teams for hair and makeup, Kamiar Rokni and Asim Naeem are overseeing green room [backstage] management.

The event is being coordinated by the Rteam, with foreign buyer and media management by Latitude and PR by Lotus.
